MHFA Aware

Build your understanding of mental health

Mental Health Aware is an introductory course designed to increase understanding of mental health and wellbeing. It provides a foundation of knowledge, helping participants feel more comfortable talking about mental health, recognising common challenges, and understanding the importance of self-care. Based on the Mental Health First Aid England programme, this course offers an accessible starting point for anyone wanting to learn more about mental health. It is an awareness course and does not train participants to become MHFAiders®.

At Mind in Harrogate District, we deliver this engaging half-day workshop for workplaces, community groups and organisations that want to start the conversation around mental health and build greater awareness across their teams.
