Mental Health Workplace Talks & Bitesize Courses

Demonstrate your commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing with our educational corporate talks. This is an effective way to raise awareness with minimal time commitment. Our expert-led sessions are designed to educate your team and deliver impactful insights into mental health and wellbeing.

These talks can be a valuable addition to a workplace Wellbeing Day, as part of a group training session or your ‘Mental Health Awareness Week’ activities (every May). We also offer bitesize ‘lunch n learn’ courses.

Each session last an hour and includes time for Q&A.

Workplace mental health talks from Mind

Example topics include:

  •  Mental Health Awareness: This session provides an introduction to mental health, helping participants build confidence in recognising and responding to mental health concerns. We explore the mental health continuum, challenge common myths and misconceptions, and look at the role stigma can play in preventing people from seeking support. Participants will learn how to spot the signs and symptoms of poor mental health, have supportive and non-judgemental conversations, and effectively signpost individuals to appropriate sources of help. The session offers practical, evidence-based guidance to help create a more mentally healthy and supportive workplace culture.
  • Stress Awareness: This session helps participants better understand stress, its causes and its impact on both mental and physical health. We explore common stressors, the physiological and psychological effects of stress, and the signs and symptoms that can indicate when stress levels are becoming unmanageable. Using the Stress Container model, participants will learn how pressure can build over time and identify practical ways to release stress before it becomes overwhelming. The session also focuses on self-care and evidence-based coping strategies that can help individuals manage stress more effectively and maintain positive wellbeing.
  • Positive Mental Health & Resilience: This session explores the science of happiness and positive psychology, helping participants understand what enables people to thrive and flourish. We introduce the PERMA model of positive mental health and explore the evidence behind wellbeing, resilience and life satisfaction. Participants will learn practical strategies to support their own mental health, build resilience in the face of challenges and develop a growth mindset that encourages learning, adaptability and personal growth. The session combines evidence-based insights with actionable tools to help individuals strengthen their wellbeing and perform at their best.
  • Health & Wellbeing: This session explores the powerful connection between lifestyle and mental wellbeing. We look at the role of sleep, nutrition, physical activity and stress management in supporting overall health, drawing on the latest evidence to understand how these factors influence mental health. Participants will gain practical insights and simple strategies to help them build healthy habits and feel at their best.
  • Menopause & Mental Health: This session explores the relationship between menopause, including perimenopause, and mental health. We look at the physical, emotional and psychological changes that can occur during this stage of life, helping participants to better understand the wide range of symptoms and experiences associated with menopause. The session examines the impact hormonal changes can have on mood, anxiety, stress and overall wellbeing, while also highlighting practical self-care strategies and support options. 
  • Sleep & Mental Health: This session explores the vital relationship between sleep and mental wellbeing, helping participants understand why good-quality sleep is essential for both physical and psychological health. We examine the science of sleep, the impact of poor sleep on mood, stress, concentration and resilience, and the links between sleep difficulties and mental health challenges. Participants will learn practical, evidence-based strategies to improve sleep quality, develop healthier sleep habits and create a sleep-friendly routine
  • Neurodiversity & Mental Health: This session explores neurodiversity and its relationship with mental health, helping participants develop a greater understanding of neurodivergent experiences in the workplace. We look at common forms of neurodivergence, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia, and discuss both the strengths and challenges that neurodivergent individuals may encounter. The session examines how workplace environments, culture and communication can impact wellbeing, and highlights practical ways to create more inclusive and supportive workplaces.

All sessions can be adapted to suit audience size and client requirements. e.g. for a smaller group we can offer an interactive workshop or for larger groups we can deliver these as a more formal talk with Q&A.
