Mental Health First Aid Training
MHFA England’s flagship mental health training course
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course developed by Mental Health First Aid England. It equips participants with the knowledge, awareness and practical skills to recognise the signs of poor mental health, have supportive conversations, and signpost people towards appropriate support.
Just as physical first aiders are trained to respond to physical illness and injury, MHFAiders® are trained to provide initial support to someone experiencing poor mental health. The course helps to build confidence, reduce stigma and create more open conversations about mental health in workplaces and communities.
Our courses are delivered by a quality-assured instructor who has completed the Instructor Training Programme accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health. Training is delivered in a safe, supportive and interactive environment, enabling participants to learn with confidence. Following completion of the course, attendees gain access to the MHFA SupportApp®, providing ongoing resources, learning opportunities and support.
