We’re recruiting a Fundraising & Events Manager

Fundraising and Events Manager
  • 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
  • £35,000 per annum, pro rata
  • Home‑based (with local meetings and events)
Mind in Harrogate District is looking for an experienced Fundraising and Events Manager to help us grow our fundraising and events activity and support more people locally with their mental health. This is a new role in a small, friendly and values‑led charity. You’ll have real scope to shape activity, build relationships and help develop sustainable income that makes a genuine local impact.

About the role
You’ll lead on community fundraising, events, individual giving, regular giving and campaigns, taking ideas from plan to delivery. While you’ll work with the Head of Workplace Wellbeing on priorities and direction, this is a hands‑on role where you’ll be trusted to make things happen.

Fundraising at Mind in Harrogate District is developing, so you’ll have the opportunity to build activity from the ground up. There will be an agreed income target, set collaboratively and reviewed regularly, recognising that much of our fundraising is still growing.

Events and community fundraising

You’ll establish and deliver an annual events calendar, including our own community and challenge events, as well as our presence at larger events hosted by others. You’ll be confident and experienced managing events end‑to‑end and representing the charity publicly. Some evening and weekend working will be required to support events.

Individual and regular giving

Alongside events and community fundraising, you’ll develop our individual giving and regular giving. This will include making it easy for people to donate, encouraging ongoing support and helping supporters understand how even small, regular gifts make a meaningful difference to local mental health services.  You’ll bring experience and confidence in creating positive donor experiences, focusing on stewardship, retention and long‑term engagement, rather than one‑off transactions.

Supporter stewardship and impact

Supporter stewardship is an important part of this role. You will use your charity fundraising experience to develop a clear and practical supporter stewardship approach, mapping key points in the supporter journey from first involvement through to longer‑term engagement. This includes how supporters are thanked, updated and kept connected to our work over time, so they understand the impact of their support and feel encouraged to stay involved. This role requires experience of what good stewardship looks like in practice, and the ability to bring structure and consistency to supporter journeys. You will also work with marketing colleagues to help create clear, authentic impact stories that show the difference supporters make.

About you
You’ll bring:
•Proven experience of charity fundraising, specifically individual giving and regular giving.
•Strong commercial understanding and the ability to work to income targets.
•Confidence developing strategy and with hands‑on delivery
•A warm, organised and proactive approach
•A commitment to mental health and Mind’s values
Experience of fundraising CRMs (such as Beacon), email newsletter software and JustGiving is desirable.
Lived experience of mental health challenges is warmly welcomed.

What we offer
•Flexible, part‑time working
•A home‑based role with strong local connection
•Supportive colleagues and a collaborative environment
•The chance to shape and grow fundraising for a local mental health charity

•Work that genuinely makes a difference.
