Mind in Harrogate District will be attending the Aldborough & Boroughbridge Show 2022 on the 24th July.
Now in its 107th year, the Aldborough & Boroughbridge Agricultural Show is returning to the spectacular setting of Newby Hall, near Ripon. Join us for a great day out for all the family and the opportunity to support Mind in Harrogate District too. There will be some of the best livestock, vintage vehicles and produce grown in the local area, as well as opportunities for local people to show off their talents with a whole host of competitions in many varied categories, including baking, handicrafts, horticulture, children’s classes, flower arranging, photography and farm produce.
For our four-legged friends there will be dog, cattle and sheep showing classes and for the equine lovers there will also be horse and donkey classes. The heavy horses will also be an integral part of the show and The Grand Ring will play host to spectacular displays and competitions with the children’s races and terrier racing always a huge hit.
Ruth and Kirsty, our Community Development Workers, will be there to help raise awareness about our new outreach service as well as all the other services which Mind in Harrogate District provide to support people with their mental health. As part of our Outreach Service, we are stationed in Boroughbridge every Thursday and Ripon on Tuesdays, helping to improve and facilitate local access to mental health support, information and training opportunities.
Tickets for the show include entry into the award-winning gardens and legendary adventure playground, complete with pedalo boats, zip wire and miniature railway! Access to the beautiful House is also available for an extra charge.
