Mental Elf Is Coming Back to Knaresborough in 2025!
We’re delighted to share that Mental Elf will be back in Knaresborough this year – bringing festive fun, community spirit, and plenty of elf-inspired energy to the beautiful grounds of Conyngham Hall on Sunday 30th November 2025.
Last year’s event was a huge success, with 259 runners raising over £8,000 to support our new Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service. Participants described the day as “inclusive of all ages,” “a great atmosphere,” and “full of community spirit.”
Thanks to that incredible support, we’re aiming even higher this year – with hopes of welcoming more than 300 runners to join the festive fun!
“Mental Elf is about more than just running,” says Tina Chamberlain, CEO of Mind in Harrogate District.
“It’s about bringing people together, celebrating community, and supporting wellbeing through fun and exercise. Events like this remind us that when we move, connect, and laugh together, we’re all investing in better mental health.”
The event is designed for everyone – whether you run, jog, or stroll in your finest elf costume, it’s all about enjoying the moment and supporting better mental health across our district.
This year’s Mental Elf promises to be even bigger and brighter, with:
- A fancy dress competition (including the ever-popular Best Dressed Dog category!)
- Festive music and entertainment throughout the morning
- A warm welcome from Tom Gordon MP, returning to officially start the run for the second year running
- A fantastic opportunity to move for your mood, connect with others, and spread some Christmas cheer
We’re also thrilled to have Strive Group, Verity Frearson, and Coach Gyms returning as event sponsors – their generous support makes this wonderful day possible.
