Mind in Harrogate District is a well-established mental health charity (part of the National Mind Federation) that provides quality, community-based mental health and wellbeing services, and we are currently looking for new Trustees to join our friendly Board!

As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in guiding the charity and helping us achieve our vision that everyone enjoys has the best mental health possible. If you’re eager to give back to the local community then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

What we’re looking for:

We are especially keen to hear from individuals who can help us to:

  • Develop our equality, diversity, and inclusion agenda
  • Support and enhance our services for Children and Young People’s mental health

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are actively seeking to diversify our Board. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a young individual looking to make a difference, we want to hear from you. We particularly encourage applications from:

  • Women
  • Under 25s
  • People with physical disabilities
  • People from BAME backgrounds
  • People with lived experience of mental health, either personally or a close relative

Time Commitment:

  • Six Trustee meetings per year (held on Mondays from 4.30-6 PM in Harrogate)
  • One full strategy day annually
  • Occasional committee work as needed

All Trustee roles are voluntary.
