Big Mental Health Survey 2026

The Big Mental Health Survey is your opportunity to share your experiences of mental health, accessing support, and the mental health system.

What you tell us will help shape the annual Big Mental Health Report, which is used by decision-makers to influence real change. Your voice could help improve laws, strengthen services, and build a mental health system that works better for everyone.

This survey is important. It will provide clearer insight into people’s experiences of:

  • Primary care (such as your GP or practice nurse)
  • Secondary care (such as Community Mental Health Teams)
  • Voluntary and charity mental health support services

By understanding where the biggest challenges are, we can push for meaningful improvements both locally and nationally.

Who can take part?

You can complete the survey if:

  • You are aged 16 or over
  • You live in England or Wales
  • You have used, or tried to use, primary care, secondary care, or charity mental health support in the last 12 months

The survey closes on 4 May.

It takes around 15-20 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous, and nothing you share will affect any care or support you receive.

Your experience matters.

Take the survey today.
