A Ladies Night at the Freemasons Harrogate and Claro Lodge on Saturday 22 October 2022, at the Masonic Hall in Harrogate, was attended by 90 guests and raised £1,001.

This event was sponsored by local businesses and artists including Crown Jewellers, Addyman’s Butchers, Harrogate Tea Rooms, The Cook Shop, Betty’s, The Crowne Plaza Hotel and The Crown Hotel. The many donated gifts included a flight in a private plane, a print of a portrait of a ‘Crying Corgi’ and two signed books by a local author.

The £1,001 has been shared with Mind in Harrogate District and Supporting Older People (Harrogate), two local charities supporting people across Harrogate. The cheque presentations have been made to both charities.

Nigel Harrison from Mind in Harrogate District commented, “How wonderful and kind. This has come as a complete surprise and the money will be put to good use”.
