Boroughbridge Community Larder Event
We’re excited to announce a new collaborative event for the people of Boroughbridge and surrounding villages! Join us and Boroughbridge Community Larder as we welcome Season Well to the larder for a free cooking demonstration on Wednesday 8th November 2023.
The demonstration will showcase a recipe thoughtfully crafted from items regularly available at the community larder, supplemented with fresh, seasonal produce. Learn to create delicious and affordable meals while also using locally available resources!
North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre will also be joining us earlier in the day for drop-in information on topics such as energy saving, smart meters, priority services registers, income maximisation, and general cost of living advice.
Boroughbridge Community Larder has been a cornerstone locally in its efforts to reduce food waste and tackle the rising cost of living and, here at Mind in Harrogate District, we are acutely aware of the impact that the burden of rising living costs is having on people’s mental health and wellbeing. By joining forces, we hope we can help people to navigate these challenging times better.
To register for the demonstration please contact Kirsty on:
[email protected] or on 07305 049296
You can also register in person at Boroughbridge Community Larder (found at Boroughbridge Methodist Church, Horsefair, on a Wednesday from 12-1.30pm).
Please register by Tuesday 31st October.
On the day of the event, the Larder will open as normal from 12-1.30pm, with Citizens Advice being available at this time also for drop-in support. The demonstration will begin at 2pm for those who have registered. A member of staff from Mind in Harrogate District will also be available throughout the day to offer mental health signposting and support to anyone who may need it.
