Welcome to Mind in Harrogate

Mind in Harrogate District is an independent charity founded in 1973 and affiliated to National Mind.

We believe that everyone should live full lives and play their part in society enjoying the best mental health they possibly can.

We aim to: promote positive mental health, continually listen and learn, work in partnership, strive for excellence and reach out to the whole community.

We provide a friendly relaxed environment where you can meet people or join in activities. Some of our courses and activities are designed to work preventatively and enhance recovery. All our programmes encourage active engagement to help people keep learning, connect with each other and contribute to their communities.

In addition we offer a telephone and email support service. A large part of our work involves listening and providing information. If you would like to contact us for support or simply need to talk to someone then our details are provided on our Contact Us page.

Our work is funded by North Yorkshire County Council, National Lottery Awards for All, Two Riding Community Foundation, and supported by donations from many generous Charitable Trusts, Foundation Trusts and individuals – thanks for your support!

We are opening for some limited numbers group sessions from 7th December. These sessions are bookable in advance only. Our other regular sessions are still available via Zoom video-conferencing groups.

A full risk assessment has been completed. We are operating safe practices in The Acorn Centre and anyone accessing the building will be required to wear a face mask and have a temperature check on arrival.

We ask that you please DO NOT attend any session if you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus.
